Exodus Ch 2

1. Moses is born
1. A woman conceived and bore a son
2. both wife and husband were of the house of Levi
3. When she could no longer hide him - she made an ark an of reeds and put him by the river bank.
4. His sister stood afar off and watched what was going to happen
5. Pharoah's daughter
1. came to river to bath
2. saw ark among reeds and sent maid to get it
3. saw baby and had compassion on "one of the Hebrew children"
6. The baby's sister asked Pharoah's daughter if she needed a nurse for the baby?
7. Pharoah's daughter
1. told girl to call the child's mother
2. told her she would pay her to nurse him.
8. The baby
1. grew and was brought to Pharoah's daughter - he became her son
1. She called him Moses - because she drew him out of the water.
2. Moses flees to Midian
1. Moses was grown and went out to see his brethren and look at their burdens.
2. He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew
1. he looked around and saw no one
2. he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand
3. The next day he saw 2 Hebrew men fighting
1. and asked why they were fighting?
2. Hebrew answered "who made you prince and judge over us?  do you intend to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?"
4. Moses feared
1. said surely everyone knows
5. Pharoah 
1. heard of the matter 
2. sought to kill Moses
6. Moses
1. fled and dwelt in the land of Midian
2. He sat by a well
7. left off at verse 16
